The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th rankedSlovanka 's (1-20) home loss to ninth ranked Basket Ostrava (3-19) 69-83 . Basket Ostrava outrebounded Slovanka 49-34 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Slovanka was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by American center Emma Merriweather (196-1998, college: ULM) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 26 points, 24 rebounds and 4 blocks and Zuzana Krizova (181-2004) supported her with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Five Basket Ostrava players scored in double figures. Even 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by Vendula Krausova (184-2005) did not help to save the game for Slovanka . Power forward Hana Kolegarova (185-2001) added 4 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Basket Ostrava maintains ninth position with 3-19 record. Slovanka lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 20 lost games.
